Starry's 10 May 2002 Second Birthday
On 10 May 2002 we celebrated Starry's birthday, Mom and Dad woke up early that day and went to church with Starry. Star was still sleepy but was excited for she knows that it would be a happy day.
At the Church, while the Mass was ongoing, Star already wanted to go home, so Mommy brought her around the church for some sight seeing. Dad took his turn when they came back. Dad took Star at the back of the church where Lolo Paran was, and brought her to the "forest" where the dinosaurs were - well that's what Star percieve of Msgr Tuvilla's garden. We came back just in time for communion, then went home after the Mass.

Preparation and Chores
Dad cooked caldereta, fried chicken, pancit molo, and shiomai.Mom cooked spagetti, hotdog barbecue and bought some ice cream.
Dad and Mom decorated the party area with confettis and twirling creep papers. Pok-pok palayok and agaw-agaw was also hanged - these are Yanyan's favorites! The place was set for party time.

Star's Princess' Dress
Dad bought Star's dress at divisoria, Star liked it very much with her matching violet shoes. The dress fitted her well. |
Invited Friends
Many friends were invited, Dad made enough invitation cards for children and neighbors. Many attended though, the rain came again, but not worst than last year. The party continued till evening and dinner. It was a great time for all of us.
Party Activities
The party started around 3:30 PM, first there was the singing of birthday song then the blowing of candle where Yanyan did for Starry, the blessing of food and merienda. Games followed and the finale were the Pokpok Palayok and the Agaw-Agaw. The kids did have a great time, they were very happy to get candies, ballons and a souvenir pen for all kids. Yanyan couldn't wait to open Starry's gifts! |
